Justin Chernogorec

Hello, I’m Justin Chernogorec. My journey in prevention programs began during my sophomore year of high school, shaped by my experiences growing up in an environment affected by substance abuse. Recognizing the need to break free from that cycle, I made the pivotal decision to join the military. Fast forward 27 years, and I now proudly dedicate my career to serving with the National Guard Counterdrug Task Force, where I have spent the last 18 years making a tangible difference. In my role, I provide vital services that range from implementing substance abuse prevention education in classrooms to acting as a drug demand reduction outreach coordinator, fostering community support.

My commitment extends to the Alden Substance Abuse Coalition, of which I have been a part of since its inception. Through hard work and dedication, I have helped create impactful local events, including Spooktacular, National Night Out, and Christmas in the Park, all aimed at fostering a healthier and safer community. Together, we can continue to make strides in prevention and support, ensuring a brighter future for everyone.
